Lars and Marcy :: Married

July 20, 2012

If rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck for the marriage, then just the right amount of rain that doesn’t interfere with photos and an outdoor ceremony must be extra fortuitous.  And that’s exactly what happened on Lars and Marcy’s wedding day.  A bit of a shower during the early afternoon and then some additional rain to bookend the evening.  I can’t wait to show you all about what happened in between.  And let’s face it, I’ve been wanting to use the word “fortuitous” in a blog post for quite some time now.

Who wouldn’t react like this….

…to a beautiful bride like Marcy.

The light at Chandler Hill is beautiful, and I simply adore it there.

I think that Chandler Hill is beautiful venue just the way it is.  Well, at least that’s what I thought until I saw the way Marcy had thoughtfully decorated it.  She added personal touches and little details here and there to make it uniquely theirs, and she did a spectacular job.

Prayers before the ceremony

A cloud cover began to roll in during dinner, which cooled the balmy day off, just in time for dancing on the veranda.

And then it started raining.  But the party didn’t stop…

…because inside, there was an ice cream bar with toppings galore. Which is my kind of party.

Lars and Marcy, it was a beautiful honor to witness such a blessed day.  May the rest of your days be just as blessed!
