The entire wedding palette was centered around this yellow fabric that Sandy’s grandmother purchased in Greece. What a beautiful way to honor such an important piece of Sandy’s life.
Sandy and Ryan’s ceremony was scheduled to be held on the rooftop of the Four Seasons in downtown St. Louis, but the whole weekend threatened rain. Shortly before the wedding, they made the call to continue with the wedding outside at the risk of getting rained on. And I’m so glad they did, because it didn’t rain one bit! And that view just cannot be beat.
I love the story of how Sandy and Ryan met. There they were, just minding their own business at the gym where they were both members. They struck up a friendship, and then realized they also attended the same church. That friendship (and mutual ability to do more pull-ups than I can count) quickly grew into love. And that love turned into a beautiful commitment. I remember thinking during the ceremony that Ryan used to just be the guy that Sandy would stand next to at Crossfit. And now, he’s the guy she wants to stand next to forever.
