Like most Saturdays this summer, it was a bit rainy and overcast on Matt and Alison’s wedding day. The rain forced us to deviate from our original plans…. it would rain pretty heavily for a while, then it would stop and the sun would shine. Then the clouds would roll in again and the sky turned black. The weather just kept us guessing, but luckily, we all stayed dry. At the end of the portraits, I asked Alison how she was doing. Her smile spread a mile wide, and she said she just felt SO fortunate that the weather cooperated off as much as it did so that we were able to have so much time for photos. I think during with the stress of planning a wedding, a person’s true colors really come out. And although I haven’t known Alison for years, it was evident to me that she is a genuinely thankful person who chooses to look on the bright side and just be grateful. I think that’s just splendid :).
Although the rain did change our plans a bit, we were still able to get into Busch Stadium, which, clearly, Matt was thrilled about.
