It’s not very often that I get to attend a wedding for a family member, and it’s even more rare that I get the opportunity to photograph a wedding for a relative. But sometimes the stars align and I get to do both.
Danny and Jodi got married on what might have been the most popular wedding date all year, and for pretty much the whole week, the forecast predicted rain. As the clouds rolled in that morning, I couldn’t help but think of all the brides and their plans and the rain that would most likely change the course of the day. But, early in the afternoon, the clouds dissipated and the sun broke through, creating one of the most beautiful days for a wedding I’ve ever seen. And in my line of work, I have seen a few :).
All of the white makes me swoon.
These two. Sheesh. So pretty.
Two ring bearers named Mason. Perfect.
I always look forward to the vows when a couple has written their own. And in this case, not only did Danny write his own vows, but he sang them to Jodi. Love it.
The ceremony was all kinds of beautiful. Every part of it. From the perfect autumn sunset over the trees to the message the pastor (who also happens to be our uncle!) delivered so eloquently.
Danny and Jodi, I was so honored to share in this day as not only your photographer, but also your cousin. Many many blessings to you both and I’ll see ya soon :).
These are beautiful. It was such a wonderful day.
