I think one of the most touching moments of any wedding is when the father of the bride talks about his daughter. Cindy’s father gave a toast during dinner where, amidst many wonderful pieces of advice and praise, he told a story about when he took Cindy snorkeling on vacation. The current had swept them away and the situation quickly turned dangerous. They made their way to a rock, and Cindy’s dad said that in that moment, he knew that either they would both be rescued or they would both be swept out to sea. Because there was no way he was letting her go.
Hearing that story was one of my favorite moments of the day.
And my other favorite moment is when Cindy walked down the aisle on the arm of her adoring father to meet Jason at the front of the church, who also adores her beyond words.
