Katie and Tony ::Engaged

Looking through these photos may cause you to smile unexpectedly.  Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

I met up with Katie and Tony at Webster University where they spent may days together during their undergraduate years.  PI think it made the perfect place for an engagement session.

How contagious is Katie’s smile?

Love love love photos at sunset.

As a photographer, I’ve learned that the lights is much more important than the background.  In this instance, we stumbled upon some great light AND some beautiful foliage.  What you can’t see, though, is that we were right on the corner of a busy intersection in Webster Groves.  People were driving by in their cars, hollering out at us, and probably thinking we were crazy for shooting on a street corner:)

I spotted this staircase on the back of one of the old buildings on campus and just had to shoot there.

Goodness gracious, how cute are these two?!  I just love them!

Is she making you smile yet? I knew it.  See, I told you Katie’s smile was contagious:).

I think it goes without saying, but Katie any Tony are all kinds of fun.  Their wedding will without a doubt be a blast.  Can’t wait!

Tiffany and Ryan :: Part 2

Yesterday you got a little glimpse of Ryan and Tiffany’s wedding day, and -brace yourself- I have even more. I always try to keep my posts to no more than 15 photos so that you can easily load the posts without having to wait forever for the photos load… but there’s just no way -NO WAY- I could keep this post to 15.  So I apologize in advance for the abundance of photos.  BUT, if you want to even more from this wedding, be sure to check out my FACEBOOK PAGE where I always post all my favorites.

And now for some more really really ridiculously good looking wedding photos from Tiffany and Ryan’s wedding.

How beautiful are these ladies?!?

**swoon**

I know I sound like a broken record, but wowzers, they are so gorgeous together!

So, as a side note, Ryan’s older brother and best man is the photography and video director at a news station, and he came along with us while we shooting some photos of the bride and groom. At one point,  I was shooting some photos of Ryan, and Jon was shooting with me, but we needed a little light bounced back into Ryan’s face.  So, without hesitation, Ryan’s brother jumped right in and held the reflector for us.  So great!

And because of his help, we were able to get this shot of Ryan, which I think is pretty ridiculously good looking.

The sky could not have been more perfectly blue that day.

And the perfect floating veil, once again courtesy of Ryan’s brother:).

This was the first wedding I have shot that has had such amazing professional lighting that really transformed the venue.  After seeing this reception, it’s totally changed the way I think about venues and opened up a world of possibility in terms of room design.

the uplighting and pin lighting done by Millennium Designs was fabulous. And the guys from Millennium were so great to work with as well. Millennium also provided the DJ and video, which were equally as fabulous.  You can check out a video teaser of Ryan and Tiffany’s wedding here

Check out grandpa in the photo….

One of the best salads I have ever eaten.  EVER.  who knew grilled Brie and raspberries could be so delicious?

Jon saw this sequence unfold and captured it so well:)

Yay!  Blake got to dance with Tiffany:)

Ryan and Tiffany, you were not only a ridiculously easy couple to photograph, but you were also an absolute pleasure to work with:).  Your laid back attitude and kindness made the day so wonderful for us and for everyone else involved as well.  We wish you every happiness as you begin your lives together!

Rita - Wow, Lisa, these are really great photos. What a gorgeous couple! Did you even have to focus the lens? LOL

Clary - Beautiful is an understatement:) AND wow to that lighting for the reception!!

Sara Jo - I’m not a bride-to-be (yet!), but love love love wedding photography. I found your blog through the landlockedbride.com, and I have to say, you’re AMAZING!!!

First of all, I am head-over-heels in love with this girl’s dress. In fact, as soon as I saw it, I emailed my mom and my best friend and said “This is the ONE!” (again, I’m not a bride-to-be!)

In the picture with the groom’s brother holding the reflector, I just love the way the bride is looking at her rings. You can almost hear her thinking, “So that’s what my hand looks like as a married woman!” I can imagine that after several months or a year of seeing an engagement ring, it looks extra beautiful and blingy with the wedding band! Again, your work is amazing. So glad I stumbled upon such a treasure!

Mike - These pictures are amazing! What a good looking group of people. I love the individual shots of the bridesmaids.

Nikki Welch - These are amazing!

Tiffany and Ryan :: Part 1

I’m just going to go ahead and say it:  these two are so really really ridiculously good looking that there’s no way I can contain all the ridiculousness in one post.  So get ready for it. Part one of Ryan and Tiffany’s really really ridiculously good looking wedding.

Even the accessories are really really ridiculously good looking.

Tiffany is such a natural beauty… so beautiful even before she puts on her makeup.

Remember this cutie

Gotta have some Carrie Underwood to start off the day

That dress… ridiculous. Love it so much.

As I was going through Tiffany and Ryan’s wedding photos, I noticed something… there was not one bad photo of Tiffany.  I’m serious.  I’m not just saying that. She looks amazing in every single one of them.  Ridiculously amazing.

The beautiful Shrine of St. Joseph

The architecture in this place is stunning.

Married!

I posted a few photos a few days ago of Tiffany where so looked so beautiful I just couldn’t wait to share…. and while I was shooting those photos, Jon was shooting these, where I think Tiffany looks equally as beautiful.

The light that day was absolutely perfect.

So much more to share.  More to come soon!

Brit - I’m not sure where to start with this one.

1. I got goosebumps flipping through these.

2. Her wedding band is ah-mazing.

3. Really, really ridiculously good looking. ‘Nuff said.

4. I’m not the biggest lace gown fan, but man does she totes rock that gown. It’s insane how gorgeous she is.

Gorgeous work Lisa!!

Amber - Love, love, love! I can’t wait to see more!

renee - that’s just sick beautiful. love it!

Adam and Tara :: part 2, oh-so-lovely

And now for part 2 of Adam and Tara’s wedding!

After a perfect ceremony, we headed out with the wedding party for some portraits.  Tara, who planned everything out so well, had picked out some great, unique venues… I always love shooting at new places and Tara planned out not one, but TWO new locations for me!  The first was Chandler Hill Vineyard near Augusta.  Love that place.

It was a beautiful day, so naturally, the vineyard was PACKED with patrons enjoying the oversized deck.  And wine, of course.  These two got lots of cheers as we shot around the patio a bit.

I had to get in one more shot of those shoes!

After we left Chandler Hill, we headed west to a farm that Tara had spotted while she was out driving.  The week before the wedding, Tara stopped in and asked the owner if we could use the farm and surrounding area for some photos, and they happily agreed.  And I happily explored a new location that I LOVE.  Take this barn, for instance.  And this wedding party.  Gosh, they’re awesome.

check out those socks.

While I was photographing the guys, the girls were checking out the horses in the barn.

And then, Lord have mercy, we wandered into this perfect field.  So much beautiful light, rolling green hills, and, oh yeah, an awesome bride and groom.  Jon grabbed this shot.  I hate it when his shots are better than mine:)

Tara brought this chair from her home.  She bought this chair and recovered it herself.  Beautiful AND resourceful.

such a favorite.

These shoes… I couldn’t stop photograping them.

such beautiful ladies

Instead of renting tuxes, then men bought these steel gray suits, which I dig. And all the guys dug it equally as much because they got to take home their classy suits.  Such a great idea.  Wish I had thought of that when I got married.

Love these two.

Part 3 coming soon!  Until then, check out facebook for even more from this gorgeous wedding.

Brit - Fantastic shots! Love that you were able to get so many outdoors! And, love that she brought her own chair. I’m trying to find a 50s Mod chair right now so we can bring it along with us!

renee - i am IN LOVE with those green shoes!!!
