You may remember my adorable neighbors from about this same time last year when I shot some family photos for them… I was just looking back through that 2010 session, and wow, things sure have changed. Ruby has gone from just being able to walk to practically frolicking through the fields this year. Her hair is just the cutest and those big brown eyes melt my heart. But, of course, the most obvious change is that very very soon, I’ll have a new neighbor named Neve. And I can’t wait to meet her.

Bryce and Carrie said I could pick the location for their family photos, and I had spotted this great field that I knew would be amazing for photos…. right in between Target and CVS. I prepared a whole long speech to convince them of the beautiful light and scenery that this field contained because I just knew it would be great, but it didn’t take any convincing at all. not one bit. I emailed Carried and told her I thought we should shoot her photos next the to the Target parking lot and she replied, “Ok. I trust you.” And I completely adore the way these turned out. .jpg "002")

One surefire way to get a smile from Ruby… and his name is Kaden

Carrie told me she wanted just one photo with both her girls, but Ruby wasn’t having it. Luckily, Kaden again came to the rescue with, which got me a smile. And some sass.
