When Kate and Derrick, who hale from California, came into town earlier this year for their engagement session, St. Louis got a heaping helping of snow. We shot on a beautiful sunny day and the thick blanket of white that covered the ground was nothing short of beautiful. We laughed about the irony of coming to from balmy California to the frozen tundra of the midwest, and made note of the lush, green scenery that we hoped would surround their wedding day. And when their day was upon us, this happened:

Sure, i may not have come prepared with the appropriate footwear, but it felt like we were in a cloud all day. A beautiful white cloud. And it was a lovely day indeed.
We started the day with a little Vera.

Kate was styled by Danielle, who does amazing work. For real. In fact, I was so blown away by her talent that I made an appointment with her to have my hair and make-up done for some photos that were recently taken of our family recently (which I’ll be posting soon… so excited!). And you should seriously check out her website. Photo after beautiful photo of the most gorgeous wedding day styling.
Bridesmaids gifts from Kate. LOVE

Effortlessly beautiful.

Kate is such a classic beautiful.

And of course I had to include at least one of Harrison T. Dog.

Take note… even after walking through gale force winds and freezing, wet snow, Kate’s hair still looks gorgeous. My hair… not so much.

Kate, you look like you stepped right out of a bridal magazine.

And the MAC was looking rather lovely that evening. Don’t you agree?

When Kate’s father gave his welcome to the guests, he didn’t get very far before he asked his beautiful wife to join him. I love how close they’re standing to each other and how Kate’s mother is positively beaming.
Another sweet little tidbit… Kate’s father had been collected this vintage of Port for his daughter’s wedding for many many years.

I adore these next two shots from Jon.

The band, clearly, did not disappoint.

Brit @ Landlocked Bride - Besides the fact that these photos are gorgeous, and the bride is beautiful, I LOVE that there is a girl that stood up on the groom’s side. More couples should do this!!
